Every service pro on Shwaber goes through ID verification before posting their first bid. Pros in regulated trades undergo FCRA-compliant background checks via our partner (Checkr or equivalent). Verified pros are clearly marked with a ✓ Verified badge.

All payments flow through Shwaber’s escrow. Funds are charged at acceptance, held until the job is marked complete, then released to the pro. If anything goes wrong, our dispute team can pause release and review.

Completed jobs are covered up to $1M against property damage caused by a pro’s negligence, subject to terms.

We collect what we need to run the marketplace and nothing more. We do not sell your data. CCPA / CPRA / VCDPA / CPA compliant. Encryption in transit and at rest.

If you encounter a safety or trust issue, report it from the job page or via our support channels. All reports are reviewed by a human.
