Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Sign in to your account at shwaber.com/login (or in the mobile app).
- Open Account from the profile menu.
- Scroll to the Delete account card at the bottom of the Identity tab.
- Type
DELETEin the confirmation field and tap Delete my account.
Deletion runs immediately. You’ll be signed out and your data is removed from our active database within a few seconds.
Option 2 — Email us
If you can’t sign in — forgotten password, lost access to your email, etc. — send a deletion request to legal@shwaber.com from the email address tied to your Shwaber account.
We’ll verify ownership and delete within 30 days (typically same business day). You’ll get an email confirmation when deletion completes.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, email, phone, avatar, address).
- Jobs you posted (as a customer) and bids you placed (as a pro).
- Messages, ratings, reviews, and saved providers.
- Payment methods on file (the Stripe card / Apple Pay tokens).
- Push-notification subscriptions and any Apple / Google / Facebook social-login linkages.
Kept for legal reasons: transaction records (jobs that completed with money exchanged) are retained for seven (7) years for tax and accounting compliance. These records are stripped of personally-identifying info — your name and contact details are replaced with deleted-user-XXXX so the financial history is preserved without exposing you. Facebook data specifically
If you signed in to Shwaber using Facebook and want to remove only the Facebook connection (without deleting your Shwaber account):
- Go to facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
- Find Shwaber in the list of connected apps.
- Click Remove.
Facebook will notify us; we’ll detach Facebook from your Shwaber profile. Your Shwaber account stays active — you can keep signing in with email/password or another social provider.
